Gannon Sprinkle is a junior at the University of Maryland running for College Park City Council in the special election on March 11th. As the former Executive Vice President of the UMD SGA and Deputy Student Liaison to the City Council, Gannon knows what it takes to lead at a local level.

During his term as a student liaison, he focused on bridging the gap between long-term and student residents in College Park. Attending weekly council meetings, he worked closely with the current Mayor and Council and will be ready to serve District 3 on day 1. 

As a co-founder of the College Park Tenants Union, Gannon is an advocate for equitable housing policy. He also previously worked for County Council Member Eric Olson, where he helped with bilingual digitization efforts, County ordinances, and partnerships with the Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning Commission. Gannon currently works in the Maryland General Assembly.
